Creating the 'great Sculpture Road'

Opening 'doors' to the Moyne shire.

Imagine if tourists came off the 'Great Ocean Road' and headed North. What would this do for local business, farm stays, start-ups and enjoyment of Moyne ?

How?  We place a huge number of sculptures along the 'safe' areas, all along the roadways so as to form a 'map' of sculptures, aka 'Sculpture Road'. Also linking in or navigating towards places to visit.

Perhaps with a 'downloadable' sculpture map, showing places to stay, people offering crafts like potters, black-smiths, wheelwrights, artists, indigenous community meets, recording studios, windfarms, museums, and so much more ...

Sculptures and artworks

If we took a collaborative approach to placing sculptures and artworks I would be pretty Shure others would also add to it. This could be schools, indigenous, community groups, disability's, artists, landowners, farmers, businesses, and local individuals.

Who gets the ...' Sculpture Road.

Well, Towns, community's and individuals should all express their interest in this. If they are willing to do the 'yakka' to include designing, submitting the ideas plus building the creations, then ... 'let the fun begin'.

What community would not want to be part of this!

The 'Sculpture Road' could also be a number of roadways, it just depends on the passion of that area to do it.

Through the Lens of a tourist, the richness of art and people.

Let the locals inspire us, 'Love Lock Drive', Boot fence, Mural corners.

About The 'concept'

Tourists want the 'rural' experience.

Australia has an international reputation of being a  'rural 'out-back' easy going lifestyle'. Many arrive in Melbourne, and head for the Great Ocean Road' then, (please forgive me) don't necessary want to return to a city, but are 'past waiting' for that genuine 'Dinky-di' great Ausse experience. So why don't we provide it.

People from towns and city's have never seen a real Aussie sunset, yet here we are with North Moyne offering a stunning opportunity for camping and farm stays.

A refreshing start with Hopkins Falls.

Let's build on what we already have but this time add much more to it. Small details matter, IE: Have signs that show people a QR Code with updated information of the local farm stays where they CAN camp.

Let 'Moyneshire' lead the way for all to enjoy.

Invite 'Moyne' residents to come on board this master-plan and see how this will benefit them.

To be the first 'Sculpture Road' would be amazing, soon to become 'The Great Sculpture Road' would have visitors across the globe knowing of this wonderful place and maybe flocking towards 'all of Moyne'.
